Celebrating the 1st Anniversary of the Geospatial Information Society

Geospatial Information Community is 1 year old

Recently, a meaningful event was organized to celebrate the first anniversary of the Geospatial Information Community. The meeting was held with the community management team and department professors coming together. The purpose of the program was not only to celebrate the past year, but also to determine plans for the future. At the same time, the roles of the new members in the management were determined.

Notes from the Meeting

The meeting began with a speech by our Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aliihsan Sekertekin. Sekertekin expressed his satisfaction with the progress the group has made in a year and emphasized that they will provide all kinds of support as department professors. These motivating words became a catalyst for the group members to set new goals.

This was followed by an annual evaluation presentation prepared by the community management team. The impact of past events was assessed and exciting projects for the coming year were discussed. As ideas were exchanged among the participants, many new suggestions were also put forward.

At the end of the meeting, a cake was cut to commemorate the first anniversary. This symbolic moment once again showed how strong the community is as a team. The warm atmosphere and sense of solidarity at the event were signs that the community will achieve even greater success in the coming period.

Goals for the Future

As the community left this special day behind, they not only celebrated but also drew a roadmap for the coming year. Many new events such as educational seminars, technical trips and social responsibility projects were put on the agenda.

After this enjoyable day, all participants are excited to celebrate the first year of the community and to be a part of future successes. We hope to see you at future events!
