"Canva Basic Training" Event Attracted Great Attention
With the contributions of the Spatial Information Community, “Canva Basic Training” was organized by Canva Turkey Education Ambassador Hatice Deniz at the Mediko Social Conference Hall on December 20, 2023. Students from different departments, especially Architecture and Urban Planning students, showed great interest in the training.
At the beginning of the training, Hatice Deniz provided information on the purpose of using Canva and the convenience it provides. It was emphasized that Canva allows everyone to create professional-level visual designs, especially with its user-friendly interface and ready-made templates. Hatice Deniz made the following statements in her speech:
“Canva is a platform that democratizes the world of graphic design. It allows you to produce creative and eye-catching content without the need for technical knowledge. It is the ideal tool for everyone from students to professionals. Your imagination and needs are the only limits when creating a design on this platform.”
Throughout the training, different usage areas of Canva were detailed with examples. Participants learned how to create the following content in practice:
- Presentation designs: Methods for preparing professional and effective presentations.
- Posters and brochures: Techniques for designing aesthetic visuals, especially for event promotion and advertising.
- Resume design: The importance of building a personal brand with modern and creative CV templates.
- Social media content: Tips for creating eye-catching posts for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
Participants had the opportunity to put into practice what they learned during the training. In addition, the differences between Canva's free and premium features were explained in detail, and participants were guided on how to get more efficiency.
At the end of the training, Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aliihsan Şekertekin presented Hatice Deniz with a certificate of appreciation for her contributions. The participants thanked Hatice Deniz and the Spatial Information Society for this inspiring and educational event and left the event with satisfaction.
