The TÜBİTAK 1001 project titled “Development of a New Algorithm for Automatic Smoothing of Building Boundary Geometry from Point Cloud Data and Integration into Commercial Software”, in which our academicians Dr. Lecturer Fevzi Daş and Lecturer Dr. Emirhan Özdemir took part in the work team, was deemed worthy of support.

The software module to be developed within the scope of the project, the executive of which is Prof. Dr. Fevzi Karslı from Karadeniz Technical University, will provide benefits to all institutions/organizations that host mapping activities and information acquisition systems, especially local governments, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, the private sector, decision makers in management and investors in terms of automatic digitization of the base map layer building object during the large-scale map production phase.
