A practical field exam was conducted as part of the Land Surveying course

As part of the Land Surveying course offered within the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, a practical field exam was conducted to assess students' ability to translate their theoretical knowledge into practice.

In the exam, coordinated by course instructor Dr. Emirhan Özdemir, students demonstrated their knowledge and skills by performing various applications with commonly used measuring instruments in the profession. During the exam, students' ability to set up total stations, level the device, apply point measurement, perform measurement operations, master the device menus, and correctly apply measurement techniques was evaluated.

During the practical exam, instructors observed students' professional competencies by creating scenarios that simulated real-world working conditions they might encounter in the field. This allowed for the measurement not only of students' theoretical knowledge but also their problem-solving skills, equipment usage, and performance in field applications.

Through field studies, students had the opportunity to practice with surveying equipment they will frequently use in their professional lives, while also improving their technical knowledge and field experience.

As the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, we continue to prioritize field training aimed at enhancing our students' practical skills and activities that support their professional development.
