Fixed GNSS Station Established Through External Stakeholder Cooperation

A fixed GNSS station has been installed on the roof of Iğdır University Technical Sciences Vocational School (TBMYO), as part of a cooperation carried out with our external stakeholder Çap Harita.

The installation work was carried out by Ankara GNSS, the Turkey Distributor and Service Partner of Meridian GNSS. With this development, Iğdır has become part of the company's network of fixed stations, which now serves more than 30 locations across Turkey.

Thanks to the newly installed fixed GNSS station, significantly higher-accuracy positioning measurements can now be obtained for mapping, cadastral, engineering, and construction projects in the region. This development will particularly benefit students of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, who will now have direct access to real-time, precise measurement data during their fieldwork and applied courses.

We would like to thank the Department of Construction and Technical Affairs for their dedicated efforts throughout the process, from planning to the completion of the installation, as well as Çap Harita and Ankara GNSS for their cooperation and technical support.

Institutional partnerships of this kind will continue to strengthen the educational infrastructure of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, providing our students with a learning environment equipped with up-to-date, industry-aligned technology.
