Double First Place Achievement at TBMYO: Melisa Ataşçı and Bülent Altun Inscribe Their Names in the First Place Register

The "Name Placing in the Register" Ceremony for the 2025-2026 Academic Year of Iğdır University Technical Sciences Vocational School was held on June 4, 2026, with the strong participation of students, academics, and their families.

This year, the Vocational School of Technical Sciences achieved a remarkable success. Melisa Ataşçı, a student in the Land Registry and Cadastre Program within the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, and Bülent Altun, a student in the Surveying and Cadastre Program, graduated sharing the top spot in the school with a 3.86 GPA.

During the traditional "Name Inscription Ceremony on the Honor Roll" held as part of the graduation ceremony, both students etched their names into the history of the college. The ceremony was filled with enthusiastic moments, accompanied by applause from the attendees.

The opening speech of the ceremony was given by the Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Haktan Sevinç, who congratulated the graduating students and wished them success in their professional lives. Following him, the Director of the Vocational School of Technology, Prof. Dr. Aliihsan Şekertekin, stated that the students were equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with professional ethics, responsibility, and work discipline, expressing his belief that the graduates would make significant contributions to the country and their professions.

The top-ranking students then took the floor and shared their thoughts and feelings with the participants. Melisa Ataşçı, a student in the Land Registry and Cadastre Program, emphasized that graduation is not only the completion of an educational process but also the result of patience, hard work, and determination, and thanked the academics, families, and friends who contributed to her success.

Bülent Altun, a student in the Mapping and Cadastre Program, spoke about the unforgettable memories he experienced during his student years and expressed his gratitude to the instructors and his family for their support throughout his education. Altun stated that a new journey begins with graduation and wished all his fellow graduates success.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of achievement certificates to the top-performing students and a group photo session.
